More Music History: "Brian Eno and The Microsoft Sound" + Paul Morley

 

I'd like to thank DoseNation for helping me discover that Brian Eno, a composer to say the least is responsible for that Microsoft sound we are all familiar with nowadays.

Resident Advisor has a great feature up on DEMF up right now just in time for their 10th anniversary next weekend. You'll finally get an inside look at the festival from those who know it best. "Artists, promoters, city officials, journalists, more than 50 in all, presenting an oral history of Detroit's electronic music festival." A must read for all you music heads.

BBE Music's 5th compilation, "Get Down With The Philly Sound" compiled and mixed by Dimitri From Paris features the birth of disco in Philadelphia all nicely fit into a 2CD box set with a 6 panel digipack.
